                       OPENING– SONG


           Take Attendance immediately (review attendance policy in handbook)
           If permitted, eat snack and check kids homework; award a sticker
         Sit in a circle on the ground or in chairs together.
            Teach and sing “¿Cómo estás?”  to the kids.
           Ask each child how they are using the microphone            VOCABULARY
           Use actions (thumbs up, down) for:   Bien     Mal       Mas o
             menos
            Show cards of:   happy/sad/okay face to help them answer
           Ask in response:
         ¿Como está Carla?    ¿Está bien?    ¿Está mal?         ¿Está mas o menos?
              Then chant, “Molly esta bien, Molly esta bien!”

                       REVIEW VOCABULARY


             1. Review activity: ?Que tengo aqui?
           All props are hidden in the prop bag.
           Take each item out individually and pass around to show stu-
             dents and to teach that new word

           Say, ?Donde esta? Pretend to be looking for it.             VOCABULARY
           Pass animals around and have kids say, “hola gato, hola gato”
           End the activity by looking for each animal and singing “adios
             song”  Adios gato, adios gato . . .
           Review “agarra” by asking the kids to “grab” the animals from
             each other, for example, “Emma agarra el gato”

                       TARGET VOCABULARY
                ACTIVITY: REVIEW VOCAB WITH ACTIONS AND PLAY FREEZE TAG
           Have kids get up and move by practicing the vocabulary with movement
             Move to a new location and have students stand up!
           Note: make sure to use Para! Be unexpected and fun by changing your
             voice
