                   Take Attendance immediately. .   During
             snack time, Sit in a circle with your White
             board.

         •   Divide the white board into 4 squares and
             draw  -- snowman in one, sun in the other,
             wind in the other and then rain.  In the boxes             PROPS
             add the weather with English translation
         •   Write “Como esta el clima hoy?” on the top of

             White board . Write focus weather vocaublary as werll.
         •   Sing, song on p. 86 of bookb. ?Como esta el clima hoy, clima hoy, clima


             hoy?  Como esta el clima hoy, el clima hoy?  (mary had a Little Lamb tu-
             ne)Point at the boxes and say, Have the kids say today’s weather in Span-

             ACTIVITY: TEACH VOCAB WITH ACTIONS AND PLAY FREEZE TAG
           Start with new words today!

           Move to a new location Have students stand up!  Teach word with a move-
             ment/motion. Use sound affect too!                         VOCABULARY

           Show the picture cards to teach/reinforce the learning  (ask the easy ques-
             tions on the back of the cards) to provide repetition.

            3          GAME—SLAP                                        PREP


                  PLAY SLAP!
         •   Kids get one set per partner pair and
             put the cards out picture side up.
         •   The teacher calls the words out and
             the first child to “slap” the card puts                    VOCABULARY
             the card in their own pile
         •   Keep going until all the cards have
             been slapped
         •   For the last one, say, “first person to
             say the last card”
         •   Variations:  challenge the kids to see how
         many words they can say by looking at the pictures.     For fun, have winners play win-
         ners and the others find new partners.
