is “Hoopers”. pretend shot, fetches drink from the
fridge for Mum, and much more. And
Anette Wallin’s astounding work with
Yamel. Yamel is the only Kees
competing in Freestyle Dancing to
Music in Sweden and does many
tricks, including walking along just on
her hind legs, picking up a wine glass
and walking with it, in and out of
ladder rungs etc.! Do go and google
or search facebook for videos of these

Although an obstacle course
negotiating tunnels, barrels and …
hoops!, it is not as heavy on the dogs
as Agility, with no jumps or sharp,
high speed turns. It’s emphasis is on
working your dog at a distance by
sending it away to and around targets
and instructing it from the side lines,
still at timed speed. This is of
particular interest to me because of
my dream to progress with Brody to
Freestyle Dancing to Music! How I
love watching those routines at
Crufts. It seems soooo far away for
us right now.
I remain inspired in the UK Kees
world by the bizarrely few I know of
who have gone before – Anji Marfleet,
and David and Sue Wilkins doing
Agility; Sue Christie, a Rally judge
whose Kees competes with Tricks and Yamel walking on hind legs.
