Excellence
IN EDUCATION
When we were asked to reflect on the true meaning of Easter, we kept repeating one word; love.
In John 3:16, it says that ‘God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’
As much as we love celebrating this holiday with chocolate eggs and hot cross buns, Easter is an important time to reflect on why Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins. He did this out of love as it was part of God’s big plan. He chose to sacrifice himself to allow us to be forgiven for our sins, even before they have happened.
In class this term, the Year 6’s have been discussing what it means to serve others just as Jesus did in the Bible. To serve others is to put the needs of others before your own and to show love to those around you through kindness, gratitude and joyfulness. This Easter, we encourage you to show love to those in your family
and community by reflecting on the greatest gift that God has given to us.
