woman’s point of view. Antoinette Matthee spoke a bit about herself and her position as leader of the Children
and Family Ministries at Trinity. Patrick Frazer, Ruth Fraser’s grandson, spoke on his latest trip to Europe.
Marjory Wilson’s topic was ‘Amazon Odyssey’. We had 2 potluck luncheons during the year, one in June and
one in December.
Our offerings during the year have gone to support the Winnipeg Inner City Mission, Arise Ministry, Presbyterian
World Service and Development ‘Starting Life Right’ which was matched by the Canadian Government and
International Ministries ‘Plant an Olive Tree’.
We invite the ladies of the congregation to come and enjoy the fellowship of a devoted group of Christian
Women.

The Connections Ministry was created to support church growth by inviting our community to visit Trinity,
welcoming and nurturing those who do, getting our members and adherents involved in the life and work of
our church, and connecting with those who have drifted away to invite them back. This is a new Ministry and
our work is just beginning in these areas.
Given the importance of growth in its mandate, we spent time over the past year to understand what growing
churches are doing that is different from those that are not growing. We found that there were some things
that all growing churches are doing:
1. Their congregations actively invite others to be part of their churches.
2. They have non-traditional music programs.
3. They have vibrant youth programs.
4. They have many small groups within their churches.
5. They have accessible and attractive facilities.
In addition, we found growing churches are often doing things that make it easier for their congregations to
invite others to join in:
