Trinity is already doing some of these things quite well and is well positioned to do more. We will be sharing
more information in the coming months and would like to ask everyone in our congregation to be part of a
mission of invitation and welcome to others. If you would like to know more about the work of the Connections
Ministry, please let me know. You are more than welcome to join us.
Respectfully submitted, Randal Phillips, Convener

Church School: The entire year was blessed by the leadership of Antoinette Matthee, serving till March 31 in
st
a volunteer capacity, as she had throughout the previous year, and then commencing April 1 as the Coordinator
of Children and Families Ministries. This position carries responsibility for the well-being and advancement of
Christian understanding, acceptance and behaviour through educating and equipping children and families to
promote and enrich Christian life, work and witness. Antoinette reports:
“The year of 2019 was one of achievement, transformation, and triumph. The Church School of 2019 can be
summed up in this one word: jubilant!
Initially, we continued with Sharefaith curriculum and later, with Session's approval, we commenced with our
new curriculum SPARK Activate Faith in September. The SPARK curriculum is a refreshing resource that
transforms the faith community. The SPARK curriculum is formed by a collaborative community that makes the
ideas deeper and stronger. The SPARK curriculum is also theologically sound and Bible-based.
