PASTORAL CARE TEAM
The Trinity family cares for each other through both the cloud and sunshine aspects of our lives. Providing
pastoral care enriches the lives of those who receive the care and those who provide it.
The Pastoral care Team hosted both a spring and fall tea for seniors and others. In the spring we had the Rev.
Lawrence DeWolfe in to speak about teaching preaching in India. Michael played the piano for us. In the fall we
had our friend the Rev. Rebecca Jess in to speak about the youth mission trip she led to Guatemala. Michael and
Melvin played some beautiful music and Rebecca joined in too. We always finish our gatherings with wonderful
musical entertainment as well as delicious refreshments. These teas are a wonderful opportunity for old friends
and new to visit and get caught up.
We are currently prayerfully searching for a new leader of this vital Ministry at Trinity. In the interim the calls,
cards and visits to those in need of pastoral care, both at home and in hospital, are still happening by our
Minister Kirk Summers and other members of the pastoral care team who deeply care for our members and
adherents. Please make sure to pass on to the Minister any needs and requests known to you.
Thank you to Kirk and our team: Annalies Lauber, Janet Bray, May Moghabghab, Paul Burford, Antoinette
Matthee, Terry Kelly, Marjorie Wilson and Susan van Greuning for this ministry. Please prayerfully consider
whether and how you might serve this caring ministry either as a member or as the leader.
Respectfully submitted, Linda Herron, Interim Coordinator
MARINERS REPORT 2019
Our Mariners Group said its last goodbye as we ended our eleven-year journey. We had a closing BBQ in June
at the home of the Brays and reminisced about the good times we had together and the friendships that had
been formed. Janet will give information to John Clarke and the Mission and Outreach Ministry about hosting
the Evangel Hall Mission dinners with hopes that this outreach project may continue in the future.
Ahoy friends!
Respectfully submitted, Janet Bray
