2019 kept the Congregational Life Ministry very busy!
We began the year with a Robbie Burns Supper in January. This is always a favourite. Everyone enjoyed the
piper, our own Graeme Henderson, the kilts, the toasts and the haggis! The tenth Annual Curling Night on

February 9 at the Thornhill Golf and Country Club was a wonderful evening. Following a delicious dinner, we
headed to the ice. This was a new and fun experience for many who attended. There were some fun “awards”
given to those who entertained the spectators best with their delivery, graceful slips and furious action with the
broom.
There was also a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner. 50 people attended and had breakfast for dinner!
At Easter we hosted breakfast following the Sunrise Service. Many members attended and the little ones
enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt.
In May we held a Spring Fling fundraiser for musical instruments for the Trinity House Band. It was an amazing

Mid-June we hosted a Congregational BBQ following the Recognition Sunday service. This is always a well-
attended event.

tradition. The meal was delicious, and the event was well attended by Trinity folks.
In October we hosted the Reformation Sunday Pancake Breakfast. We served 50 people and we all enjoyed
listening to our Director of Music Michael Gomiega speak about his inspiring experience at the Montreat Youth
Leadership Conference.
