2019 Annual Report

On a motion from Gordon Marshall, seconded by Isobel Hutchison, that Russ McKay be reappointed as
Treasurer. Carried. The Chair expressed the thanks of the congregation to Russ as treasurer for the past number
of years. A tremendous amount of work is carried out diligently by Russ.

On a motion from Gordon Marshall, seconded by Brenda MacHaffie, that Beth Hemstad be reappointed as
Envelope Secretary. Carried. The Chair expressed the thanks and appreciation of the congregation for the hard
work every week that Beth does and the quarterly and year-end accounting required.

Other Business: There was no other business.

Appreciation and Vote of Thanks: Don Seal offered this message of appreciation and thanks. As a new member
of the Trinity family I have had the opportunity to partake in a number of events- Robbie Burns, curling, summer
barbeques, men’s brown bag lunch and of course Sunday greeter, just to name a few. Each Sunday I check to
make sure we have young ones to listen and participate in the Children’s Story- so Kirk has an audience for his
message. I would hate to have him bring all his props and have no one to help him.

Members give of their time to volunteer in so many ways. Just look at the many projects that we take on each
year. Without you, Trinity would have a hard time serving and getting the message of the Lord to us and others.

We are a small congregation, and it is amazing what we accomplish. The churches successful existence depends
on its volunteers. Volunteers for fund raising, for event planning, helping the homeless, refugees and those that
are less fortunate than ourselves, mission work and fellowship. Volunteers are not paid, not because they are
worthless, but because they are priceless. Mother Teresa said the miracle is not that we do this work but that
we are happy to do it. Noah’s ark was built by volunteers- the Titanic was built by professionals. Thank you all,
for your time and effort. Volunteers: sharing God’s amazing grace. “For we are God’s servants working together.”
        1 Corinthians 3:9.

Adjournment and Benediction: There being no further business, on a motion for adjournment from Mary

Wilson it was agreed that we adjourn. A closing prayer and benediction was led by Minister Emeritus The Rev.
        Gordon Beaton.
