• Michael Gomiega, Director of Music and Coordinator: Youth and Young Adult Ministries (full time)
• Antoinette Matthee, Coordinator: Children and Family Ministries (10 hours per week)

• Melvin Suwarno, Executive Assistant to the Minister and Church Manager (full time)
• Heidi Tieu, Nursery Worker/Church Resource Worker (Sunday mornings, three hours)
The Coordinator of Community Engagement position budgeted for last year was not filled. It is hoped that it will
be in 2020, the position being to help Trinity grow by reaching out to the community to invite them to be part
of our congregation by more fully understanding who we are, what we do, how we may help them and how
they may participate.
Summer Students
Trinity was fortunate once again in 2019 to benefit from the Canadian Government’s Summer Works program.
Robert Bisset returned for a second summer, joined by Aiden Van Gruening and Robert Macatangay. Together
they were a delightful three-person team who did a multitude of tasks to enhance the congregation’s life,
facilities and grounds. They each worked 280 hours over ten weeks. Katya Arifin also worked during 2019, being
on call on an as needed basis to help with programming, operations and administration. We thank all the
students for their cheerful and diligent service to Trinity.
Church Office Volunteers
The Church Office Volunteers remain such an important aspect of Trinity’s ‘daily round.’ Their commitment,
time and effort are deeply appreciated. They do so many things, while most of all making known the neighbourly
love of our Lord. Sincere thanks to Jeanne Maitland, Diane Wells, Susan Van Greuning, Mark Boucher, Beth
Boucher, John McCord, Barbara McKay, Jane Stephenson, for coming in during the week and to Linda Herron,
Janet Worthington, and Scott Worthington for being at the ready when the call for help comes their way.
Leading with Care
Human Resources is entrusted with the implementation and compliance of the Presbyterian Church in Canada’s
Leading with Care policy, which is designed to ensure a climate of safety for children, youth and vulnerable
adults. We report diligence with respect to ensuring compliance with the policy, especially in relation to police
checks; proof of insurance; fire/evacuation awareness and response; and volunteer, staff and space-users
education, training and awareness. We are grateful to Terrie-Lee Hamilton for her oversight and care of this
essential aspect of our life together.
