OPERATIONS MINISTRY

The Operations ministry has two primary divisions: Human Resources, and Facilities and Grounds.

Mandate and Membership
This Ministry is responsible for the recommendation of candidates to serve the Church in volunteer capacities,
employment matters of all church staff and, as directed by the Presbytery of East Toronto, for the Minister, and
act as a liaison to the Minister as Head of Staff. It is also responsible for ensuring the well-being and equipping

of people who serve the Church in volunteer capacities.

The Ministry members in 2019 were: Tom Cleary, Terrie-Lee Hamilton and James Waddell. Kirk Summers, as
Minister, attended all meetings.

The Minister
Because the position of Minister reports to the Presbytery of East Toronto, the Minister is not a member of the
Trinity staff. The Minister does, however, report at each of the Human Resources meetings on the six distinct
responsibilities he has:

• Minister of Word and Sacrament
• Moderator of Session
• Teaching Elder
• Pastor
• Executive of Presbytery

• Head of Staff

Staff Complement
The staff complement was enhanced in 2019 with the addition of our Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult
Ministries (half time), and, our Coordinator of Children and Families Ministries (ten hours per week). All other
positions remained the same. The staff remained committed to providing excellent service, support and
solutions as they serve not only the congregation but also the multiple number of space users who enjoy the
facilities and grounds of Trinity.
