2019 Annual Report
7:30 pm. With over 200 people in attendance, it was a wonderful service of scripture, reflection and music
followed by cider and cookies in the North Hall. Thank you to all who made this such a special evening.
Once again, many of our worship services this year were enhanced with special music provided by the Paul
Bartlet Music Fund. This fund was established by the late Mr. & Mrs. James Bartlet in memory of their son Paul
and is used for the provision and enhancement of music at Trinity. Because of the generosity of the Bartlet
family, we enjoyed the talents of several vocalists and musicians throughout the year, including Trinity’s own
Michael and Lisa Barth. We are also grateful to those members of the congregation who support our music
ministry with their own donations to the Bartlet Fund.
Our appreciation to Elizabeth Wu and the Flower Committee for continuing to provide the lovely floral
arrangements in the sanctuary each week, and for the beautiful seasonal decorations at Thanksgiving,
Christmas, Easter and other special occasions.
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to John McCord and Wings Lem for faithfully monitoring the sound system.
not only on Sunday mornings but also when the band has rehearsals on a Wednesday night. We also thank
them, and the greeters, for ensuring that our sanctuary is ‘worship ready’ every Sunday morning and tidied up
afterwards. Special appreciation also to our amazing Projection Team, Sheryl Sutton, Katya Arifin and Aiden Van
Greuning and to others who helped out when asked.
Our services of worship continue to be enhanced by participation from members of our congregation. Thank
you to all who volunteered to read scripture, usher, help with a children’s story, play an instrument, sing, or
address the congregation for a special purpose. We appreciate everything you do and pray that you will continue
to offer your talents, and that others will answer the call to participate as well. Again, we are extremely grateful
to Hiba Michael and Don Seal for overseeing this tremendous task of finding and signing up our volunteers.
There is no way our services of worship would run as smoothly as they do without the dedication of these
wonderfully committed people. Thank you all so very much for all you do!
Respectfully submitted, Diane Wells, Convener
