2019 Annual Report
Trinity Summer Arts Camp
With the assistance of the Exousia Media Group, and under the direction of Cheryl
Nembhard, the ministry held a four-week Summer Arts program at Trinity in July and
early August 2019. This was again a very successful summer program with
approximately 65 children participating. We provided $500 towards the camp’s initial
start-up cost, otherwise, the camp broke even for the year. Unfortunately, as a result of
the Session’s decision that they required more space for other ongoing year-round
programs, the Summer Arts program has been cancelled.
Evangel Hall Mission
Thanks to the ongoing commitment of Tom James and his wife, Dorothy, clothing has
continued to be delivered to Evangel Hall on a monthly basis. Thanks to the continued
support of Rania Moghabghab, we have continued to organize the monthly delivery of
sandwiches to the Hall, but again, additional sandwich makers are required for 2020 if we
are going to be able to continue this important outreach program. The Mission Ministry has
also been recently asked to consider taking over the evening meal program that had
previously been provided by the Bray family and their Mariner assistants. We are currently
considering this possibility.
The Arise Ministry
Given the ongoing need for support in Toronto for young women who find themselves on
the streets, this year, we provided a cheque in the amount of $1,000 to the Arise Ministry
towards their ongoing efforts to change the lives of many of these unfortunate young
women.
Eva’s Place
The Missions Ministry has continued to support the outreach work of Eva’s Place, which is
directed to assisting youth in crisis throughout the city, in particular at its Leslie Street
location. We forwarded $1,000 in support for their continued work.
Exousia Media Group
In consideration of Exousia Media Group’s continued support and direction of our
Summer Arts Camp, and in order to assist Exousia’s outstanding work with Youth in Crisis
throughout the city and particularly within the black community as we have in the past
several years, $2,000 was provided to assist in their outreach programs.
