Now drive (2 x TUGS) forward twice to ensure you have connected correctly.
Look under the trailer into the jaws of the 5th wheel to ensure the safety bar is
across the trailer pin.
Note. Apply the vehicle handbrake, turn off the engine, and use 3 points on contact to
climb out of the cab, close the door and ensure you are wearing the correct PPE
24 Slips Trips and Note. When connecting the connections ensure you connect them via the furthest lead

stepping over leads. See the connection order left. (See serial 10)
Close the side wind deflector / Connect the safety clip to the 5th wheel safety handle /
Wind up the trailer legs and stow away the handle / Connect the registration / Level the
vehicle suspension
25 Slips Trips and Note.
Falls Holding the winding handle in a horizontal position and pulling or
pushing the handle towards the trailer body will allow the working mechanism to operate
in a normal or slow operation mode.
Note. Check the lights
