               7         Slips Trips and
                             Falls       Lower the air suspension on the unit and then continue to drive the unit forward.

                                         Note. Lowering the air suspension on the unit before driving away from the trailer will
                                         prevent any damage occurring to the trailer or unit.















                                         Note. After driving away from the trailer remember to level the air suspension on the unit
                                         once again.  Apply the handbrake, turn off the engine and exit the cab with 3 points of
                                         contact then close and lock the door



                                         COUPLING OF TRAILERS (with a Split couple)


               8         Slips Trips and   Reverse up to the trailer and directly in line with the trailer headboard then stop short.
                             Falls       Note a. Apply the vehicle handbrake, turn off the engine, and use 3 points on contact to
                                         climb out of the cab, close the door and ensure you are wearing the correct PPE.
                                         Note b. It is extremely important that the trailer brake is checked and is in an on (pulled)
                                         position.
