the people of the South-Eastern European region. Our values are: solidarity, partnerships, integrity, caring,
respect, trust, togetherness, mutual support, commitment, social impact, continuous learning and
innovation. As a professional, I have been operating for more than 20 years between the EU and SEE
regions. I have worked both in war and in peace times – one of the life learnt lessons is that basic human
values are crucial for us, especially in the times of crisis.

The 3 most crucial values are: solidarity, unity and mutual support. Talking about crucial human
values, she mentioned the roles of female heroes, both in war and peace times. Presenting 3
pictures illustrating various women:

The 1 picture showed a brave partisan
woman from the anti-fascist revolution; she
is one of numerous examples of positive
female heroes that inspired us through our
childhood, teaching us the values of mutual
support, solidarity, struggle for higher causes
and against fascism.

The 2 picture shows modern women role
models (such as Kim Kardashian).
Obviously, this is a new type of a female
“hero”, a new role model. Modern age social
influencers evidently impact lives of young girls all over the world, whether positively or
negatively (however, this is another type of discussion).

The final, 3 picture in my presentation is a picture of a local, every-day hero. This is a picture of
Ms. Ljatifa Sikovska, who has been devoted to working with Roma communities in Macedonia

for many years. Currently, Ms. Sikovska is the 1 Roma woman who has become a Parliament
Member in N. Macedonia. Basically, such female heroes are my favorite choice – they are needed
in our communities as positive female role models whose daily work of supporting local
communities is based on the human values of social justice and solidarity. Thus, supporting local
communities, solidarity and sharing basic human values are important for us –in this respect, we
would like to have a call for action on regional solidarity that might inspire you too.

Actually, SIEC has already started designing a solidarity self-initiative project whose solidarity
idea is connected to the basic human values that are close to our hearts. We strongly believe that
the idea of mutual support is even more so needed in the times of crisis. “SIEC” envisaged solidarity
project needs you for future regional collaboration. We are happy to announce that “ALVA” is
interested to join this initiative. In this, we want to come in action together with you too.

We want to find various partners in several regional countries who are ready to organize online
solidarity challenges in 2021.With this solidarity action, we want to mobilize famous people,
influencers, motivators, NGOs, our friends and anyone who is ready to participate in an online
action of spreading the values of kindness and solidarity between people.

We want to invite you for online activism partnerships, mobilizing local heroes with the hope that
collaboration and basic human values indeed connect people – if interested in sharing solidarity
