get ourselves and people we work with how to see the bright side. I see this conference as very important
part to grow and to see our values. And I think our PVN organization also has developed and grown
so much values in me and in people who are involved in this. We want to lead by values. It's
important first to know our values. We need to know our organization culture values priorities
before we are threatened by crises. For us promoting peace and solidarity shines in our value and
maintaining of collaboration work before the Coronavirus. We promoted peace at regional level
collaboration, solidarity and human rights. We need to really assess how we will continue in such
time. We saw very important to assess the situation where we are and to find the best out of faith
and what we can learn from this. So we were trying to keep values and to see some alternative
ways, which are online. Although it is a pity, we can’t meet each other face to face, but we are still
sharing positive energy and sharing experiences and learning a lot from each other. So we are
facing in such context. The fourth point is the communication and listening. As a process between
young people and leaders, in the organization it is very important to be open and to communicate
and to understand very much.

During the Covid-19 pandemic many struggle to keep their jobs, to
pay bills and support their families and among them women are
affected the most, because they lose jobs more than men and they
experience gender-based violence more than men. One woman gives
hope to all of us and she inspired me. She is Jacinda Ardern, the prime
minister of New Zealand who demonstrated a genuine leadership in the time of hardships. She was
with people and for the people and in solidarity with those affected by the coronavirus. She and
other lawmakers took a 20% pay cut for the next six months. She knows that this action in itself
would not change the government’s financial position, but it will help a bit those who are on the
margin of the society. And this gesture can also inspire others to do the same in solidarity with
those who live in poverty.

how could we use the basic values, such as solidarity, to collaborate in the future? As “SIEC - Social
