ancient gurus used to take ‘guru dakshina’ and even the kings used
to pay them so much that it was enough for their future generations.
It is your parochial attitude and narrow-mindedness that makes you

think that the person who is capable of making you educated and
prosperous should be poverty stricken. A great teacher or a poet
need not be a poor man to retain his greatness.

Outside India, teachers belong to the prosperous communities. They
get highly paid for the work that they do. Teachers employed in the
best institutions of the world such as Harvard and Oxford get heavily
paid. Just think about it, if a good teacher does not have enough

income, why would skilled and efficient people come forward to take
                this up as a profession?

I have seen students carrying a negative attitude towards coaching.
Many students believe that coaching is merely a business to make

money, it is a business to spread fear among the students. Have you
ever thought—what will happen if there is no coaching?
Let us assume that you did not have a good school or college
education and you have not studied in any elite school or college.
You have the degree but not the knowledge that should come with it.
You are competing with people who have studied in English medium
schools, who are way more talented and educated than you are.

How are you going to cover the gap between you and them without
coaching? It is very possible that you decide to prepare on your own,
without any coaching help whatsoever. But this will take a lot of time.
Are you ready to invest that much time?

Have you ever thought about the person who is mentoring you? How

did he become a tutor? What kind of sacrifices he must have made
to be a tutor. It is possible that when he was a student in college, he
might have studied during the time when all his friends were out to
have fun. Your tutor would have stayed away from various
recreational activities and focused on gaining knowledge. You do not
gain knowledge just like that—you have to sacrifice a lot. "There is
no knowledge without sacrifice. To gain everything, you must lose

everything."- Buddha. If there is someone who is in a position to help
