quantity of work you do every day. What matters is, your
determination and will power, your focus and enthusiasm should be
consistent throughout your journey. Let us assume that you are a
cricket fan and whenever there is a match, you cannot concentrate
on your studies. In such a situation even if you persuade your mind
and sit down to study, you will not be able to concentrate enough.
Many a time you cannot concentrate on your studies because you
fall sick. Even if you try to balance studies with looking after your
health, some days it just does not work out the way you want it to
be. It also happens that on some days we feel very energetic and,
on some days, we do not. Some days we are extremely happy and
confident about everything and some days we are sad for no specific
reason. This is because we are human beings. Our emotions and
feelings make us human. Our bodies, unlike robots, do not have any
switch which we can turn on or off to feel the emotion of our choice.
The best way to keep up consistency in your studies is to work hard
on those days when you're feeling very energetic, and revise on the
days when you're feeling low. Without multiple revisions, it is highly
possible that your entire study effort can become a waste. If you do
not revise sufficiently and efficiently, it would be difficult for you to
recollect the memorized facts during exams. There would be
sunshine days when you will be feeling happy and excited to learn
new things; on these days learn new concepts and read new topics.
On holidays such as Sundays or festival days, when you want to go
out for other engagements, give two hours for a quick revision.
Revision is something that makes your learning strong.
It is always good to walk with caution and not run around carelessly.
You must keep small targets when you are studying, and you must
praise yourself and even gift something to yourself when you
achieve your targets. (The Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said, “The
journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”). Now, What kind
of a gift? For example, if you decide to study two chapters, then once
you complete it, you can go out to the market to eat something of
your choice. After setting a target taking baby steps in the right
direction will make you feel good about your preparation, it will boost
