Chapter 13
                Train of Thoughts

“What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you
                imagine, you create.”- Buddha

If there is one god-gifted quality which separates humans from
animals, it is the power to think. Human beings have rationality which
makes them different from other animals.

A human is capable of thinking and understanding, which is why he
is considered to be the most developed living being. The ability to
think is a boon for mankind, but it can also turn into a bane if we do
not understand the best way to use it. Overthinking affects our

productivity. It creates a lot of tension, reduces our energy levels,
affects the calmness of our minds and our overall happiness.
Overthinking also leads to inaction. It is a vicious downward spiral.
The Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky said, “To think too much is
                a disease.”

What is the reason behind the fact that a lot of people spend an

entire day thinking about numerous things? The racing thoughts
destroy their peace of mind. Even if they want to they just cannot
stop the avalanche of thoughts that shakes them up.

Mental weakness, sleeping disorders, self-doubt, indecisiveness,
uncertainty, anxiety, trauma and fearfulness are some of the factors

that lead to overthinking. Laziness is also one of the biggest reasons
behind overthinking. Since a lazy person cannot implement or
execute his thoughts and turn them into actions, he prefers to remain
occupied with his chain of thoughts.

A person has to become both a gyan - yogi and a karma yogi to be
                successful in his life.
