Module: Prepare Implementation Instructions.
Objective: Given a module of instruction that accomplishes
its objective, be able to prepare the directions and instructions
that will enable the module to work when administered by
another instructor.
Criteria: The directions and instructions answer questions
about (a) what to collect in the way of materials, supplies,
equipment, resources; (b) how to prepare the equipment,
materials, and space for use; (c) how to answer common ques-
tions and handle common problems; (d) how and when to
suggest alternative resources and activities, if any; and (e) how
to review performance.
Skill Check: To demonstrate your competence, you will be
asked to prepare the directions and instructions that would be
needed to allow your module to be administered by someone
else. You will be asked to: Locate two participants willing to
assist, give one of them your module and additional materials,
and ask him/her to serve as instructor. Ask the other to serve as
student. You’ll observe the session (without interrupting) and
make notes of any assistance you need to offer to make the ses-
sion work.
(NOTE: Here’s where the instruction for this module
begins.)
