Home Modification services
Home Assessments
The Home Assessment is the foundation for a successful home modification outcome. The
David Corey Company systems are based on a “medical model” and all Accessibility
Specialists have Occupational Therapy backgrounds as well as specialized training with
home modifications with a workers’ compensation application. Home Assessments are
completed on-site unless instructed otherwise.
Contractor Assignment
Having the right contractor for the job is
always important. The David Corey Company
has developed a national contractor program.
Each contractor participant has been fully
vetted to ensure that all license and insurance
requirements are up to date. In addition, each
participating contractor must go through the
CHAMP (Certified Home Accessibility and Modification
Professional) certification program. Contractors that are assigned jobs, are required to
use unit price estimating systems that are considered the standard in the property
insurance industry. After submission, all estimates are reviewed for adherence to pricing
and accuracy of scope prior to submissions to the carrier.
Contractor Project Management
Once the project is authorized, the David Corey Company provides contractor
management services for the duration of the work to ensure the project comes in on
budget and on time. Weekly progress reports are completed and submitted to the carrier
to keep them up to date on progress.
