PART III. ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

Southville International School and Colleges prides itself in offering innovative
learning programs. The programs continuously undergo refinements to make them
responsive to the needs of the students.

        A. Subject Area Programs

        1. Communication Arts Program (CAP)

The Communication Arts Program (CAP) covers the English, Filipino,
French, Chinese, and the SISC Comprehensive Reading Program (CRP)
classes. Incorporated in the CAP are the areas of reading, writing, speaking,
listening, and visual critiquing, each specifically taken up under
Reading/Literature, Creative and Technical Writing, and Public Speaking.

The first four subjects catering to the development of each specific language
skill aim at providing students with learning experiences and resources that
will enhance critical thinking and interactive communication competence.

These lifelong learning skills will enable the students to tackle any situation
necessitating the use of communication skills in and out of the classroom.
Furthermore, it is the aim of the program to make students use their
communication skills as tools in asserting leadership in any chosen field in
               the future.

For French and Mandarin, students who can pass the DELF (Diplôme études
en Langue Française) and HSK (Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎashì) respectively are
given international language proficiency certification. These can be used for
employment or further studies in the future.

The Accelerated, Comprehensive, and Efficient Reading Program (ACER)
is given to improve comprehension and fluency in reading as well as to
enable students to tackle a broad range of reading materials. The ACER
               Program consists of:
