Weather Ready

Wonder Woods is an outdoor woodland nursery. While we have
shelters available, our children are supported and encouraged to learning
play outdoor all day, every day.

It is important that your child feels comfortable, warm, dry, and play
unrestricted in their clothing whilst with us. We live by the saying:
There’s no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothes!

We are happy to offer advice and support around clothing, and will discuss options with

you throughout the seasons.

We do ask that your child arrives at the woods with appropriate base layers on and a full
change of clothes.

Footwear
Footwear is equally as important as clothing and we advise boots of the type detailed below.

Removeable inner layer Toggle drawcord gaiter

Waterproof outer layer Velcro fastening for
easy handling

Durable rubber sole

We do have a small stock that we can lend you as we know how quickly children’s feet grow!

Please note that wellies are not ideal as while they are waterproof, they do not provide
adequate warmth and support. They can be great as a change or for our visit to rock river.
