There isn't any influx of Omicron variant cases for COVID-19 apparent in the Central Valley this week, and the new case and 30-day case rates for coronavirus in gen- eral showed declines in this week's numbers.
As of the Dec. 7 updates in Fresno and Tulare counties, COVID positivity rates have dipped to 4.9 and 3.8 percent, respectively, while new daily case rates per 100,000 popula- tion also have lowered to 11.8 and 9.3 in the two counties.

RC Community Band concert in Reedley set for Dec. 11

The Reedley College Com- munity Band is presenting a "Holiday Memories" program at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Reedley College Forum Hall. Admission is free.
The concert, billed as "a festive musical trip down memory lane," will feature the RC Community Band as well as the Reedley College Cham- ber Ensembles performing.
The concert is the second this week at the college's Fo- rum Hall. On Dec. 6, the col- lege held its annual orchestra concert.

Christmas holiday parades returned with a bang to four Mid Valley Times cities last week.
Reedley, Sanger, Dinuba and Parlier — in that order — held holiday parades within a 72-hour window on Dec. 3 through 6. The first three cit- ies' parades came within 24 hours of one another.

The cities of Dinuba and Reedley will be conducting their final City Council meet- ings of 2021 next Tuesday, Dec. 14.
Dinuba's meeting will be- gin at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall council chambers, 405 East El Monte Way. To see and download a copy of the agenda, go to the city's web- site at www.dinuba.org.
Reedley's meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the city's Council Chambers, 845 G St. in downtown Reedley. To see and download a copy of the agenda, go online to the city's website at reedley.ca.gov.
Both cities' councils meet the second and fourth Tues- day of each month, but dur- ing November and December the entities meet just once because of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
