Viewing Measurement Data
9.4.6. Trend View
The Trend View is used to view changes in data over time. To open the Trend View,
select the ‘Trend View’ tab. in the ribbon.
The ribbon will display the controls for manipulating the view:
• In the ‘Operating Conditions’ section of the ribbon select any operating Conditions
to add to the graph (if desired).
• In the ‘Trend Parameters’ section of the ribbon, select which Summary Numbers to
add to the graph; one of these is required or the graph will be empty.
• In the ‘Sensors’ section of the ribbon, select which sensors to add to the graph; one
of these is required or the graph will be empty.
Once the Summary Number and Sensors selection is made the graph is automatically
populated with all measurements that are flagged as ‘Trend’ in the measurement list; if no
measurements are set for ‘Trend’, then no measurements will be displayed. Any changes
over time in the selected Summary Number and inputs will be clear.

Note:
Depending on the number of selections made, the Trend graph can
be overwhelmed with data, making it difficult to interpret; for example,
viewing all Summary Numbers on all sensors with all the Operating
Conditions would populate the graph with 32 sets of data.
Performing Trend analysis with smaller sub-sets of data provides a
more focused analysis result.
