To set Alert thresholds:
• Select a Sensor in the ‘Sensor’ section of the ribbon.

• Select the Alert threshold to change in the ‘Alert Levels’ section of the ribbon. Enter
a new value and press ‘Enter’.

Note:
Changing the Alert thresholds will change the analysis results of all
measurements in SMView immediately. However, the monitor will not
use these new thresholds until the changes are uploaded to the
monitor using the ‘Synchronize’ button (refer to Section 9.4.9 for
details).

9.4.9. Synchronizing Changes

When Alert thresholds are changed in the Settings View (refer to 9.4.8 for details), the
modified settings need to be uploaded to the monitor before they will take effect:
• Until the new Alert thresholds are uploaded the monitor will continue to assert the
Alert relay based on the old values.
To upload the changes, press the ‘Synchronize’ button above the ribbon in SMView.
This will connect to the monitor and upload the changes.
