Configuring a Monitor
Figure 7-3 General Settings
Set the IP address, subnet and gateway address of the monitor. The correct settings
will need to be provided by the plant IT group. If the gateway is not required, then a gateway
address of ‘255.255.255.255’ will disable the gateway function.
Note:
If the Ethernet is not configured, then the monitor can only be
connected to using USB. Remote access through IAM and Modbus
functions in the monitor will not work.
Set the desired Alert relay behavior; there are 5 options:
• Disabled – the relay will not be used.
• Normally Open Latching – the relay is normally open, and when an Alert condition
occurs, it will close until manually reset.
• Normally Open Momentary – the relay is normally open, and when an Alert condition
occurs, it will close for 4 seconds and then automatically open.
• Normally Closed Latching – the relay is normally closed, and when an Alert condition
occurs, it will open until manually reset.
• Normally Closed Momentary – the relay is normally closed, and when an Alert
condition occurs, it will open for 4 seconds and then automatically close.
Note:
If the Alert relay behavior is disabled, then the only way to detect an
Alert remotely is through Modbus.
