Configuring a Monitor

7.5.4. Original GuardII Flux Alert Configuration

Press the ‘Flux’ button on the ribbon and then select ‘Alerts’ to configure the Flux Alert
thresholds. If the Alert settings in the monitor are different from the Alert settings in the
database, you will be asked which Alert settings to use. Configuring Alerts is a different
                       process for Flux-R and Flux-S.

To set an Alert threshold for Flux-R:
                          • Select one or more rows in the table.

                          • Enter the new Alert threshold in the text box.
                          • Press ‘Set Threshold’ to set the threshold(s) for the selected coils.
                          • Changes can be uploaded immediately by pressing ‘Save Changes’ or later using
the ‘Upload’ button in the ribbon (see Section 7.8).
                          • Pressing ‘Discard Changes’ will revert the thresholds to the previously loaded
                              values.

                                       Note:
Flux Alert thresholds are expressed in % difference of the peak flux
density. So, an Alert threshold of ‘3.00’ means that ‘if the flux density
of this coil/pole is more than 3% smaller than the flux density of the
                                       comparison coil/pole, an Alert occurs’.
