              7.5.7. GuardII+ Flux Alert Configuration

Press the ‘Alert Levels’ button on the ribbon to configure the Flux Alert thresholds. Enter
an Alert threshold for each coil (for Flux-R) or pole (for Flux-S).

                                       Note:
Flux Alert thresholds are expressed in % difference of the peak flux
density. So, an Alert threshold of ‘3.00’ means that ‘if the flux density
of this coil/pole is more than 3% smaller than the flux density of the
                                       comparison coil/pole, an Alert occurs’.

                                       Note:
On a salient pole machine, a pole typically shows some sign of
problems when the percentage difference of the flux amplitude is
                                       more than 1-2%.
On round rotor machines, this increases to about 3% for poles with
more than 10 turns per coil, and 5-10% for poles with less than 10
                                       turns per coil.
