Address Data Notes
7006 Measurement Status The status of the last measurement
0 = No data is available
1 = The machine is offline
2 = Measurement data is valid
3 = Measurement error: no
synchronization signal found
4 = Measurement error: no flux signal
found
5 = Unable to analyze measurement
results; measurement data is invalid
6 = Processing error
7 = Hardware malfunction detected
8 = Flux signal is too large
9 = Analysis is unable to produce results
10 = Flux signal is too small
11 = Processing error
12 = No flux peaks detected
13 = No analysis results
7007 Poles The number of poles in the machine rotor
7008 Pole 1 Data Normalized flux density of pole 1
7010 to Pole 1 Data Normalized flux density of pole 2 through to
7135 to pole 128.
Pole 128 Data For machines with less than 128 poles,
unused poles will report a normalized flux
density of ‘0’.
8.3. Monitoring Flux Summary Numbers
In GuardII+ the normalized flux density Modbus data provides an indication of status of
the Asset’s coils or poles. However, there are occasions when the monitor is not able to
calculate the normalized flux density; this could be due to:
• The initial measurement cycle after booting up has not completed yet.
• The asset is offline.
• No synchronization signal was detected.
• No flux signal was detected.
• There was a data analysis failure.
If any of the above conditions occur, the flux density data will not be valid. To know if the
flux density data is valid, the measurement status must be checked. If the measurement
status is reported as “2”, then the flux density data for that channel is correct.
