Did you know that…?
• Millions of people around the world still have no access to essential medicines,
and millions of adults and children still suffer from malnutrition.
• Women the world over still lack access to medical care pertaining to sexual
practice and fertility.
• In recent years, the world has made noteworthy progress - improvements
have taken place regarding access to clean water, sanitation and the decline
of diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, polio and others.
• The world has set goals pertaining to the prevention and treatment of
concerns such as addictive substances, road accident deaths, damage due
to air, water and soil pollution.
