                   Receipt of Referral


                         Generally, the referral should be in writing
                         Note referrals in Australia to a Child Consultant should comply with S 10J of
                          the Family Law Act.  In other jurisdictions referrals should comply with the
                          requirements of law and professional associations.

                         Briefing from Family Mediator including their  observations of the Parent
                          Readiness



                   Parent Meeting



                         The meeting (ideally) completed face to face for approximately one hour per
                          parent.
                         If the Child Consultant  is also the  Family Mediator/ADR practitioner,  this
                          meeting can be completed during the Intake or Pre-FDR/Mediation session.
