                                                                                                                                                             There are elements of the previous glasshouse structure with cast iron pipes running
                                                                                                                                                                  around the interior walls.
                                                                                                                                                             There are 112w x 100h x 235l buff bricks with an unusual frog as can bee seen in photo
                                                                                                                                                                  1. The bricks are stamped Robert Brown and Son, Paisley
                                                                                                                                                             TThe brick patterning suggests that the wall may have been built up at a later date.

                                                                                                                                                               THE MELON HOUSE
                                                                                                                                                               `Span-Roofed melon house about 26ft
                                                                                                                                                               long’.
                                                                                                                                                               This house is the same dimensions as
                                                                                                                                                               the others. A large Cryptomeria has
                                                                                                                                                               collapsed over it and its dense cover
                                                                                                                                                               renders it impossible to investigate the
                                                                                                                                                               interior. It appears to have a very
                                                                                                                                                               narrow bed about 0.40m wide and

                                                                                                                                                               clearance before proper investigation
                                                                                                                                                               can be made. In 1902 it is referred to as
