A)  Mobilization Ca++ from bone to blood by activation of
osteoclasts

C) stimulating synthesis of calcitriol [active vit D metabolite] ➔ ↑
Ca++ absorption from intestine & synergizes with PTH in
mobilizing bone Ca++

2-  phosphate excretion by inhibiting its reabsorption.
The principal factor controlling secretion is the concentration of Ca++ 
