                           Hansel

                           and Gretel

This fairy tale involves bread which is the trigger for two
little children getting lost in a forest, because their step-
mother wants them to get lost and never to return. That is
why the kids put bread crumbs on the ground to find their
way back. However, the crumbs are eaten by birds and the
poor children get lost. They come to a house made of ginger
bread, which seemed to be a great idea first, but turned out
to be quite problematic later on.

                           The Giant

                           Room

The fairytale “The giant room, whose roof consisted of
bare sausages” comes from Sweden. Thematically it is
very closely related to “Hänsel und Gretel” by the Grimm
Brothers. The difference, however, is that the villain is
not a witch, but a giant and the roof of his house con-
sists of sausages. You can see that “Hänsel and Gretel”
and “The giant room” were written in a very similar way.
