9. Poor Hardness:
Causes:
• Low binder concentration.
• Insufficient compression force.
• Granule too coarse or too dry.
Remedy:
• Optimize binder and compression.
10. Prolonged Disintegration:
Causes:
• Excess binder or lubricant.
• Overdrying of granules.
Remedy:
• Adjust binder/lubricant levels.
11. Poor Dissolution:
Causes:
• Same as prolonged disintegration.
• Hydrophobic lubricant film.
Remedy:
• Reduce lubricant mixing time.
• Use hydrophilic additives.
Environmental Controls in Tablet Production:
• Temperature: 20–25°C.
• Relative humidity: 45–55%.
• Air filtration to avoid contamination.
• Dust extraction system required.
