Electrochemical Detector (ED)
❑ The flow cell contains a working
electrode (e.g. carbon paste) and a
reference electrode (Ag-AgCl).
❑ The potential is maintained at a selected
value with respect to the Ag|AgCl
reference electrode, and current is
measured between the working
electrode and the stainless steel
auxiliary electrode. Current is
proportional to solute concentration.
