As Waheguru had intended, about 15 years ago, I
became a Guru Nanak Khalsa School (GNKS) affiliate

as my children started taking classes to learn
Punjabi, Gurbani, and Kirtan. This decision has had a
profound impact on our family. We wanted to ensure
our daughters could read and write Punjabi and, most

importantly, to have a deeper understanding of the
values and teachings of our gurus to become strong
individuals academically and spiritually. GNKS offers
                                                             all that and much more.

GNKS has many programs, but we consistently
participated in the Int'l Symposium and Keertan
Darbar by Sri Hemkunt Foundation. This program has

given both my daughters practical experience based
on the principles of the Guru's teaching and singing
Gurbani in raags. Through this program, children have
the opportunity to develop genuine real-life skills
that empower them to become fearless and

influential speakers and presenters– a truly invaluable asset.

Both my daughters proudly graduated from their Punjabi and Kirtan classes a few years ago, and they
both returned to teach Punjabi and Kirtan classes because they feel a sense of belonging and support

            within this family.

Sewadars and Sewadarnis offer their busy time from work and family to run this institution. Bhain ji
Pushpinder Kaur ji and Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh ji have an unparalleled dedication- these two special

people are the school's backbone. They bring the whole GNKS family together to focus on one important
initiative that is to build our next generations’ connection with Sikhi. There are more than hundred
committed volunteers, who come together to give their valuable time to this vital purpose raise our

children to be outstanding Sikh citizens while practicing our religious values. I am filled with a sense of
pride and honor to be a part of this exceptional team!

May Waheguru bless all the participants and members who selflessly serve and run this amazing

institution to ensure our future generations remain connected to our Punjabi culture and Sikhi values
through Gurbani in such a dynamic world.
