- Direct or concentration methods in order to demonstrate the characteristic
rhabditiform larvae (diagnostic stage) or occasionally filariform larvae in case of
constipation. In cases of severe diarrhea ova may be detected, unlike those of
hookworm’s ova, they contain mature larvae.
- Stool cultivation for 48 hours to demonstrate filariform larvae or free living adults.
B- Duodenal fluid and sputum examination for eggs and larvae.
C- Sputum examination for larvae.
D- Serological tests as ELISA.
E- Blood picture reveals eosinophilia of 10-40 % and may be leucocytosis
