            10 September 2009

            GFCBWA and ANZ co-organised an event, The Future of Australia and the Global Financial Market.

            27 and 29 September 2009
            A charity show was organised that included a show; Dance works-tap dance Australian/NZ tour. All
            the ticket sales went to a special charity appeal for the Taiwan 88 great flood rebuild fund.

            1 November 2009

            At the 2009 GFCBWA general meeting and karaoke dinner party, held at the Kimbo Chinese
            seafood restaurant, all members voted to elect the following ladies:

               •  Third president, Rose Wu (吳錫燕)
               •  First vice president, Julie Kao (高家芸)
               •  Second vice president, Linda Gong (龔安蓉)
               •  Third vice president, Grace Turvey  (高潔儀)
               •  Forth vice president, Flora Chen.(陳思伃)

            We look forward to seeing the new team commence to lead GFCBWA to unite more elite Chinese
            women, supporting core values and building a strong foundation in Australia. This special sisterhood
            and platform are cherished. Several new members joined GFCBWA on the night, including, Chen
            Qiuyun (陳秋雲), Liu Haiqing (瀏海清), Guo Qingyu (劉慶瑜), Luo Jiali (駱嘉麗), Theresa St James
            (曾怡音), Lin MengMeng (林孟孟), Wang Longli (王龍莉), Zhang Yuling (張玉玲), Shi Lan (詩藍),
            Hao Qiuju (郝秋菊), Chen ShuHui (陳淑惠), and Hu Wenli (胡文莉)..

            The Christmas concert hosted by the Taiwanese Women’s League of Queensland was held at the
            Sunnybank Baptised Church.

            There was a social welfare information session at Southport Tafe, BM106.

            13 March 2010

            The celebration of the opening of the Spring Art exhibition occurred at the Queensland Taiwan
            Centre. Folk participated in the lantern festival and award ceremony.
            21 April 2010

            GFCBWA’s third general meeting and the April monthly meeting was held. A re-election of the
            directors and supervisors was held during these meetings. The hosts were Ms. Melody Chen (陳秋
            燕) and Phyllis Lo.(羅富齡)

            29 April 2010
            A creative percussion workshop for cultural teachers was held at the Queensland Taiwan Centre.
            Several GFCBWA members went to participate in this workshop.

            30 April – 2 May 2010
            Buddha’s birthday/bathing celebration and ceremony event was held at Southbank.
