12 September 2007
The Queensland Government organised a special lecture for GFCBWA, called the new immigrant
entrepreneurship business lecture of 2007. Successful entrepreneurs were invited to share their
experiences, which included aspects such as, teaching the audience how to start a business in
Queensland, how to make the business journey more smoothly, and understanding the
Government’s policies and support for new immigrant entrepreneurs.

A crystal jewellery DIY workshop was held at the Pink Piggy Crystal Charm at 3F, 33 Scarborough
Street, Southport, (Kay Bank Plaza) with instructor Miss Ganny.
12-15 October 2007
The GFCBW held the sixth World Congress and the third Hua Kuang award ceremony spending
three days celebrating great achievement and honouring the members around the globe.
16-20 October 2007
The Formosa Taiwan Island tour – included 5 days and 4 nights, where people toured around the
beautiful Island.
10 November 2007
The 2007 GFCBWA general meeting and masquerade event was held in the banquet hall of Holiday
Inn Hotel.
7 November 2007
Gucci organised a special spring sale event, exclusive for GFCBWA members. The event was held
at shop 6 Elkhorn Ave, Surfers Paradise.
13 November 2007
Personal and home safety lectures occurred with speakers, police officers Holly James, and Purdy
Huang.

Members attended a multicultural activity on the Gold Coast and celebrated the Bahai (巴哈伊)New
Year with the members at the GCI hotel.
29 April 2008
A special health seminar on cancer prevention was held in both English and Mandarin. The talk
entailed understanding cancer and diagnosis methods. Speaker Dr. Lin Jingxian (林敬賢), the
director of the Cancer Research Centre of Griffith University shared his knowledge and experience
with the audience on ways to prevent cancer.

The Louis Vuitton Mother’s Day cocktail party was celebrated and organised exclusively for
