Parameter B Implementation
I.1 The dean or official concerned approves the updated syllabi for each subject.
After the loads are given to the faculty during the sem opening meeting, each
team are tasked to submit 3 copies of their syllabi for review of the Program Chair and for
Approval of the dean. Once approved, one copy will stay at the Dean’s office, one copy goes
to the faculty and the last copy goes to the photocopy center for reproduction then are
distributed to the students. The Dean’s copy is compiled in her shelf. If you wish to see a
sample of the syllabus, you can open the compilation of syllabi from the A3PB archive
I.2. The Faculty Prepares syllabi with Comprehensive Content.
Lecturers of Professional subjects are done in teams. The concepts are divided
among the two faculty and each will prepare a comprehensive content. They will then meet
together and craft the course syllabus for the entire subject. They ensure that all the
concepts relevant to the course is covered. This will then be reviewed by the program chair
and approved by the dean
I.3 The faculty Revise and enhance their syllabi preferably every two years or as needed.
The CMO 15 s. 2017 is a curriculum that is crafted to adapt to the K-12
curriculum. There were a lot of changes in the subjects specially with the Professional
Subjects. There was a “need” to revise and update the syllabi to be able to comply with the
new curriculum.
I.4. The Faculty Distributes a copy of the syllabus to each students.
Three copies of syllabus is given to for the review of the department chair. One
for the dean, one for the faculty and one for reproduction to be submitted for reproduction.
When the College adapted the Online Learning, the University developed the ISU Orange
(Online Resources App for a New Guild of Education). In this computer application,
the faculty can upload resources which are downloadable for students. Among these
uploaded resource is the Syllabus
I.5 Teaching Strategies stimulate the development of the students’ Higher Order
Thinking skills (HOT Skills) such as critical thinking, analytical thinking, creative
thinking and problem solving
Higher Order Thinking (HOT) Skills is best developed during either the
Clinal or Skills Lab Related Learning Experience (RLE). Each RLE class has their own
Clinical Teaching Plan. In this document, the RLE Faculty (Clinical Instructor) plans
how to deliver their RLE Duty for them to ensure that the concept Thought in the
lecture is aligned to whatever will be exposed in the RLE. For example, if a student is
enrolled in Nur 211 (Community Nursing), they must be having their RLE in the RHU
or in the Barangay
