I.5 (Continuation)

If a student is enrolled in Nur 214 (Care of Mother, Child and Adolescent), they
must be having their RLE duty in the Pediatric Ward, School, OB-GYN ward, or Delivery
Room. It can be seen in the Clinical Focus that the students are exposed to actual scenario
and tasked to do assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation. These
activities ensures that the students’ HOT skills are developed.

I.6 Classroom Instruction is enriched through the use of the following strategies
I.6.1. Symposia, seminars, workshops, professional lectures

The Students in Disaster Nursing attended the following Seminars

                     1. Hands Off Fire: Fire Prevention and Safety Seminar

                        Exam

          I.6.2 Educational tours/learnings visit/ other co-curricular activities

The University has been very cautious with learning visits because of issues
where students meet accidents while they are in their tours. Instead, the College invites
successful alumni to meet our students and share their experiences in their works and
motivate them to do their best in their studies.
          I.6.3 peer teaching/cooperative learning

During Skills Lab (Simulation classes), the faculty demonstrates a certain skill in
front of the students. The students are then given a performance checklist and given the
time to practice the skills before the return demonstration. During the practice period, the
students discuss and teach each other on the proper performance of the skill

I.6.4. Computer Assister Instruction and Computer Assisted Learning

During the Online Mode of Learning, the students used various Computer
applications for them to be able to participate in the class. Among the applications are
YoutTube, Facebook, Messenger, ISU Orange, Google meet, Edmodo and Zoom.
