The Miracles of our Prophet (saas)





                      Im por tant knowl edge about this and many oth er mat ters
                 un known at that time are giv en in the Qur'an. When it was sent
                 down, hu man be ings knew very lit tle about as tron o my, phys -
                 ics and bi ol o gy. And yet it con tained im por tant knowl edge
                 about the cre a tion of the uni verse and hu man be ings, the com -
                 po nents of the at mos phere, and the bal ance in na ture. (For a de -

                     Allah cre at ed the uni verse from noth ing and knows all
                 things. The Qur'an, which has a plain and clear style that ev ery -
                 one can un der stand, was re vealed so that peo ple would read
                 and un der stand it, know the Creator, and know how to serve
                 Him. Allah then elu ci dat ed the vers es with nu mer ous ex am -
                 ples and sto ries, for "We have not omit ted any thing from the

                 Book" (Surat al-An'am: 38). The Qur'an is per fect and thus con -
                 tains much de tailed knowl edge about both worlds, which it ex -
                 plains in wise terms: "We have sent down to you a Book con -
                 tain ing your Reminder. So will you not use your in tel lect?"
                 (Surat al-Anbiya': 10).
                     One of the Qur'an's most im por tant as pects is that its orig -
                 i nal text has re mained in tact since its rev e la tion: "We have sent
                 down the Reminder and We will pre serve it" (Surat al-Hijr: 9).
                 The scrip tures re vealed be fore the Qur'an were al tered, for var -

                 i ous peo ple add ed, changed, or de let ed cer tain parts. But when
                 a rev e la tion came to our Prophet (saas), Allah mi rac u lous ly en -
                 a bled him to mem o rize it. Immediately aft er wards, it was writ -
                 ten down by the "re cord ers of rev e la tion." During Abu Bakr's
                 (ra) reign, the Qur'an be came one vol ume; dur ing Uthman's
                 (ra) reign, cop ies were made and sent to the ma jor cit ies of the
                    em pire.
