Better a poor man whose walk is blame less than a fool whose lips
are per verse. It is not good to have zeal with out knowl edge, nor
to be has ty and miss the way... A false wit ness will not go un pun -

ished, and he who pours out lies will not go free... he who cher -
ish es un der stand ing pros pers... A man's wis dom gives him pa -
tience; it is to his glo ry to over look an of fense... A pru dent wife
is from the Lord. Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shift less
man goes hun gry. He who obeys God's in struc tions guards his
life [gains paradise], but he who is con temp tu ous of his ways
will die [will be recompensed with the suffering in hell]. He
who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will re ward
him for what he has done... Listen to ad vice and ac cept in struc -

tion, and in the end you will be wise. Many are the plans in a
man's heart, but it is the Lord's pur pose that pre vails. What a
man de sires is un fail ing love; bet ter to be poor than a li ar. The
fear of the Lord leads to life: Then one rests con tent, un touched
by troub le... re buke a dis cern ing man, and he will gain knowl -
edge... Stop lis ten ing to in struc tion, my son, and you will stray
from the words of knowl edge... the mouth of the wick ed gulps

down evil. (Proverbs, 19:1-28)
