Construction water was supplied from a solar extracted borehole at the staff accommodation block. The main lodge
was the biggest consumer of water due to its size and its masonry construction type.

TRANSPORT
ROAD USAGE
The contractor adhered to the transport policies put in place by Karingani, including:
• Speed restrictions of 40 km/h
• Material deliveries and worker travel are only permitted on identified service roads
• Stock yards are located on the perimeter of the reserve to reduce the movement of heavy vehicles through
sensitive habitats
• Service deliveries are restricted to certain entries
• Working closely with the reserve operations teams to respect road closures after storm events
• Consolidating construction worker trips to and from site
• Empty delivery vehicles are used to transport waste on return trips
