Oxford Utd maintained their good form by winning 2-0 against Bridgwater
Utd. After a goalless first half, Beth Lumsden opened the scoring on the hour and Daisy
McLachlan secured the win for the U's with ten minutes remaining. Oxford now take on
Billericay Town who were taken all the way to penalties by Enfield Town before going
through. Zoe Rushen and Sam Pittuck scored for Billericay as the match finished 2-2 after
extra time, whilst both of Enfield's goals came from Che Thomas.
League Plate
Exeter City were another team to knock out higher division opponents when they
defeated Keynsham Town 3-0 to reach the Second Round, thanks to a hat-trick from
Sarah Stacey. The Devon side now face a long journey in the last sixteen to London
Seaward, who were 4-0 winners away to Poole Town with goals from Cheryl Anderson,
Egle Trezzi, Abbey Dell and a Kate Bradley penalty.
Alysha Stanley was another hat-trick scorer, for Bedworth Utd in their 8-1
victory over Buckland Athletic. Milly Miller (2), Jodi Hunter, Jodie McGuckin and Abbie
Taylor added the other goals, with Katie Barriball replying. Bedworth have another home
tie against Nottingham Forest who won 1-0 away to Doncaster Rovers Belles, Mai
Moncaster scoring the only goal of the game eight minutes before half time.
Sporting Khalsa produced a fine result in beating Division One Midlands
leaders Lincoln City 2-1. Rebecca Gill-Parsons and Sarah Hazell grabbed first half goals
for Khalsa, before Toni McHamilton pulled one back after the break. Khalsa will now be up
against Boldmere St Michaels, winners on a penalty shootout after their tie with
Bradford City finished level at 3-3. Zoe Roberts, Monika Stube and Charlotte Stuart
scored the goals for Bradford, whilst the Mikes netted through Annie Highway, Hayleigh
Sutton and Tanya Dickinson before winning 4-2 from the spot.
Queen's Park Rangers returned from Stevenage Women with a 3-1 victory
under their belts. Laura Hennessy, Erin Pope and Melanie Hall were all on target for
Rangers, with Hannah Nebbitt replying. QPR will have a home tie in the last sixteen against
Portsmouth who beat Hounslow Women 2-0 with goals from Shannon Albuery and
Tamsin De Bunsen.
Leigh Dugmore led the scoring with a hat-trick as West Bromwich Albion ran
out 10-0 winners away to Wem Town. Janelle Straker and Holly Beck-Esson added two
apiece and the tally was completed by Emam Congrave, Hannah George and Emily Owen.
Albion now home a tricky home tie against Cheltenham Town who kept up their own
good form with a 2-1 success away to Actonians Ladies. After Maria Ledezma-Viso had
