The Regional Leagues...
Eastern Region League
One match was played in the league on Sunday, in the Premier Division where King's Lynn Town
and Wroxham battled out a 1-1 draw, a result which means the two teams remain level on points.
Tiffany Forshaw scored an injury time equaliser for King's Lynn to ensure the derby match finished
level, after Grace Birchall had given Wroxham a first half lead.
North East League
York City took the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the Premier Division to eight
points with a 4-2 victory over second placed Redcar Town. Eleanor Hall, Karli Smith, Sophie
Tinson and Shannon Durkin all scored a goal apiece for York, with Jenni Duffy-Smith and Jess
Round replying. Wallsend Boys Club meanwhile notched up their second win of the season, 3-1
against Hartlepool Utd thanks to Siobhan Jones, Hannah Travis and Jessica Ellison. Lucy
Staines netted a consolation goal for Hartlepool.
In the Northern Division, West Allotment Celtic moved themselves to within two points
of the leadership by beating Prudhoe Town 6-1. Hannah Dodds led the scoring with a hat-trick
whilst Victoria Curtis, Megan Hindmarsh and Faye Jardine were also on target, Libbi Knight
responding. Sacha Millward bagged herself a four-goal haul, with Kate McSorley and Libby Waller
adding the others, as Norton & Stockton Ancients Res ran out 6-2 winners over
Guisborough Town.
York RI doubled their advantage to six points in the Southern Division after they defeated
Bradford Park Avenue 3-2. Tamryn Dunlop spearheaded the victory by hitting a hat-trick,
whilst Melissa West netted both goals in reply.
North West League
League leaders Merseyrail Ladies were held to a 3-3 draw by Crewe Alexandra and have seen
their lead trimmed to three points by Tranmere Rovers after they scored ten times without reply
against Mossley Hill. Cheadle Town Stingers have moved into fourth following their 5-1
victory over West Didsbury & Chorlton, one place ahead of Salford City Lionesses who beat
Wigan Athletic 6-1.
Blackburn Community SC are back on top of Division One North once again after they
won 3-0 against Carlisle Utd. Workington Reds moved into the top three on the back of a 3-1
success over Penwortham Town, courtesy of Sophie Birkett, Hayley Bracken and an own goal,
whilst Penrith AFC Ladies edged out Chorley Women Development by the odd goal in five.
Preston North End defeated local rivals Sir Tom Finney 9-2 and Accrington Stanley were
6-2 victors away to Morecambe Res.
Chester FC Women maintained their three point lead at the top of Division One South,
thanks to a 2-0 win at Altrincham. They head the table from Warrington Wolves, who beat
Didsbury Ladies 4-2, and Curzon Ashton whose 4-1 success away to Alder FC Women has
taken them into the top three.
South West League
Sherborne Town have taken over at the top of the Premier Division after a goal from Amelia
O'Connell gave them a 1-0 victory over Bishop's Lydeard. AFC St Austell meanwhile stepped
up their challenge with a 3-0 success away to Middlezoy Rovers, in which Shania Fenlon,
Danielle Salt and Charlotte Whitmore all found the net. Ellie Bishop led the scoring for Torquay
Utd in their victory against Bideford whilst Leah Brooks, Jana Richards and Danni Wyatt each
contributed doubles, with Kate Hine, Emma Hunt and Ocean Latto accounting for the other goals.
Keynsham Town Res have opened up a lead of three points in the Eastern Division by
scoring eight times without reply against Frome Town. Vicky Vipond hit a hat-trick for Keynsham
and she was joined on the scoresheet by Darcey Banfield, Hannah Sims, Mia Sparks, Sophie Allen
and Olivia Bees. Paulton Rovers meanwhile won 5-0 away to AEK Boco, thanks to a goal apiece
from Beth Knight, Martha Slocombe, Imogen Stocker, Adella Clarke and Enya Wilkinson.
Wensday Wise, Emily Mousley and an own goal ensured that Western Division leaders
Plymouth Argyle U23 won 3-0 against Saltash Utd. Second placed Helston Athletic
meanwhile defeated Feniton 2-1, Eleanor Brewer and Eve-Charlotte Moore netting their goals and
Amy Salter replying. Liskeard Athletic completed a trio of away wins in the division by beating
Liverton Utd 3-1 with goals from Chloe Williams (2) and Ezme Wells.
