WSS: Overall, what have your impressions been of the Genero Adran League
since it launched at the start of the season?
SH: The launch of the new league has been great and it’s very exciting to be a part of it.
Hopefully the women’s game in Wales continues to grow and develop.

Ilminster all set to face Saints
Ilminster Town face one of the toughest tasks for any team in the Second Round of the
Vitality Women’s FA Cup this Sunday when they play Southampton FC Women.
The South West League high fliers are unbeaten in all competitions so far this season
and manager Craig Stuckey told Women’s Soccer Scene that his team are looking forward
to playing the team which knocked them out of the Cup just over a year ago:
“This FA Cup fixture offers us a big opportunity to test ourselves against
Southampton again,” he said. “Last season’s FA Cup fixture ended up being our last game
of the season with Covid locking us down and ultimately the league decision to cancel the
       rest of the season.
“We know Southampton have now moved up a league and competing at the top end,
an improved squad and have an opportunity to go and get themselves promoted again.
“We are realistic to the task ahead but the girls have nothing to fear or nothing to lose,
we have done fantastically to be where we are and every time these girls go out on the pitch
       they do the club proud.
“Like the last round [against Sherborne], we are here to enjoy the occasion and
hopefully put in another good performance, whatever the result I know these girls will work
hard for each other and won’t let each other down.
“We know we are underdogs going into the tie but we have a good group of players
with individuals that could hurt any team, so if we can stay disciplined, look after the ball
and play with the quality we know we have let’s see what happens, we haven’t failed to score
in a game this season so hopefully this won’t be the day for that to stop!”
